 Bring Spring in with me
Although I was born in winter my favorite season has always been Spring.
I fell in love with the beautiful Spring flowers moma used to plant in the yard when I was growing up. And how when the wind drifted over those flowers their fragrance made every breath of air seem as though it was freshly blown from Heaven.
But what I love most about Spring is how it embodies the aspects of transition and growth which is what life is all about.
It was in St. Louis, Missouri that moma guided me through those early transitions and I grew from an immature boy to a responsible young man. As an adolescent I remember how hard moma worked to put food on the table for my little sister and I. Moma always said that education was the key to an easier life and she made me promise I’d finish high school. I did. I even went on to college and later helped pay my little sisters’ way through college as well. But in the quest to make a better life for my family I eventually succumbed to the lure of fast money.
I’m presently serving time on drug related charges, however I am drug & disease FREE.
Instead of wasting my time in prison being bitter over the twist and turns of life, I’ve dedicated myself to becoming a better person. I attend Business Classes through a local college, lift weights to keep myself physically fit, and I pray and meditate daily.
Some of my hobbies are playing sports, reading poetry and studying classic literature. Once I’m free I plan on going into real estate investing and opening my own mortgage company.
I’m looking to correspond with a woman who is intelligent, goal-oriented, and loves to laugh. A lady who is honest, considerate and caring. Someone strong enough to handle life’s constant transitions and welcomes growth. I’m looking for that beautiful flower who is a breath of fresh air.
I guess what I’m searching for is a reminder of. . . SPRING.
Please write. I would truly love to hear from you.
Sincerely, DAMON aka: “D”
